My Tesla test drive
During the pandemic I discovered, thanks to the internet, the world of electric mobility, and I found it fascinating. I researched extensively and began to see the possibilities of having a car that doesn't pollute, that would help me save money, and that, thanks to its technology and safety, would make my trips much more comfortable.
In 2022 it was my turn. I went to Tesla and they gave me a test vehicle, and the feeling was indescribable. From that day I knew that, sooner or later, it was going to be my next investment.
The buying experience
Since the day of the test drive, I dreamed of moving to electric mobility. In July 2023, I went on Tesla's website because of an offer I received with a great discount on the Model 3... and I took it without thinking twice.
I remember how incredible it felt to buy a car in just 5 minutes. Literally. Everything was completed online, with financing approved and without leaving home.
With a delivery date for August, Tesla took care of all the paperwork. I just had to create my account in the app, and from there I uploaded all the documentation. Buying a Tesla was like buying a phone. That simple.
My Tesla delivery
Tesla informs you of the date and time to show up. Once there, you need to have the app configured on your phone to control the vehicle.
Several vehicles are delivered at the same time, so they do an initial group training on how to use it and charge it. Finally, they offer a personalized session if you need help driving the car.
Perhaps, writing these lines, I can understand it better. That day I was simply fascinated by everything that came after the purchase.
My conclusions
Thanks to the deal I got, the Tesla cost me 32,000 EUR + VAT. And honestly, compared to any combustion car, it feels like a gift.
In just one year I had already driven 33,000 km. I even took a trip to Poland, crossing 4 countries and adding more than 6,000 km. During those two months, the fuel savings were almost 4,000 EUR, and that's when I truly understood everything this car could offer me.
Those savings allow me to cover the car's financing installment, which in practice means it costs me nothing. I also highlight how easy it is to drive, the technology it has, and how practical it is that the car automatically calculates the route and tells me where to stop to charge.
